SPARC Verified
SPARC Verified is SPARC International's testing and branding program for peripheral products.
The SPARC Verified program, also known as the Peripheral Verification Testing (PVT) program, was created in response to demand from vendors of peripheral products (e.g. SBus boards, SCSI devices, memories, monitors, keyboards, etc.) who wanted some method of assuring buyers that their products in fact work with the SPARC Compliant systems buyers already use.
Products enrolled in the PVT program undergo "n x m" testing on SPARC Compliant systems in SPARC International's laboratory. Once passed, these peripherals can display the SPARC Verified brand in packaging and promotions.
SPARC International member companies selling products that have passed PVT testing also have the right to apply for a custom SPARC trademark.
This report, updated monthly, lists products that have passed independent tests conducted by SPARC International, thus earning the right to bear the SPARC Verified logo. |
